We are looking for live-in staff to help us run our busy holiday hotel on the North Northumberland coast.
ABOUT THE HOTEL:
- 2 star High Quality hotel catering mostly for UK holidaymakers
- 18 bedrooms on the main site plus 6 family holiday cottages sleeping a total of 60 guests
- 2 restaurants open to residents and the general public.
The hotel is friendly, informal and usually full!! Our staff work hard and, despite being informal, our service is of a very high standard.
The hotel is owned and managed by a couple who have traveled and worked extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia and America.
JOB PROFILES:
General Assistants an average work 5 days per week in all areas of the hotel - mostly waiter/waitressing for breakfast and dinner shifts, and may also housekeeping during the day.
- Work is available from February to November
- Opportunities are available for long term employment to the right candidate.
MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
Candidates with a proven track record in hospitality would be considered for Shift Manager and Reception duties
CHEFS:
We have a small brigade of 2-3 chefs on each shift. The emphasis is on locally sourced produce cooked simply.

SOCIAL LIFE:
- The town ofAlnwick is 6 miles away. Alnwick is famous for its castle (Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films) and has plenty of pubs, restaurants, shops, gym, a leisure centre, swimming pool, library, theatre etc. Regular buses run from Embleton to Alnwick.
- Easy Access to Newcastle & Edinburgh: Despite our quiet rural location, we are perfectly placed between two of the best cities in Britain. Newcastle-upon-Tyne is 45 mins drive South of the hotel -famous .for its bars, clubs and party atmosphere, Newcastle also has the largest shopping centre in Europe, the new Baltic modern art museum and lots more.

Outdoor activities are very easy because of our location - Sailing club - 3 miles, surfing in Embleton Bay, hiking and mountain biking in Cheviots, golf course at Embleton, riding stables - 5 miles, and lots more
APPLICANT PROFILE:
- Well presented - must speak good English and have good communication skills
- Hard-working & adaptable - must be flexible enough to work mornings and evenings in most areas of hotel
- Able to commit for minimum of 4 months
- Must be happy to live rural location
- Full references required
